Every month my academy has a ‘culture day.’ From my current understanding, this is just a term that they’ve coined for the day and doesn’t necessarily mean that something cultural will come out of it. That being said, I’ve only experienced one so far.
For April, culture day was a day for the students to practice expressing their dreams and aspirations. Using starters like ‘I want to be…,’ ‘I want to have…,’ ‘My dream is…,’ etc. Once they’d had their sentence proofread they could write it on construction paper, illustrate it and then post it on our entrance wall.
